What This Site Is About
Welcome to my student project on the world of gaming. This website provides a concise tour through the history of video games, a look at major genres and popular titles, and an overview of modern gaming culture including streaming and esports. Whether you’re a lifelong player or just curious about why gaming has become such a global phenomenon, you’ll find approachable explanations mixed with examples, images, and multimedia. My goal is to explain how we got from simple dots on a screen to massive online worlds, and why games continue to capture our imagination. Gaming is very important to me. I believe it to be a top contributer to community and friendship. Gaming has been used that way since its debut. People meet online or friends play together online nowdays to keep in touch. Before online gaming though one would meet up with friends and play. It has been a wonderful way to stay in touch with people since I started playing many years ago.
